Peoples Gas won't correct my account to show meter is OUTSIDE
This nightmare has been going on for 3 years. PG moved all the meters of the houses in my neighborhood outside and added an ERT "cone" (so they could get meter readings electronically).
Since that time, I have received notices about every 3 months that I need a required safety inspection of the meter INSIDE my property (again I haven't had a meter INSIDE my house for 3 years). When I call them to advise they tell me they still show a meter inside. Fine, so i schedule a "safety inspection". The guy shows up (he's nice), and I tell him there is no meter that it's out front of my house.
He still says he has to check my basement. Ok, well he checks and agrees with me there is no meter inside. Lo and behold he finds the meter and the ERT cone outside underneath an accessible front porch. I also want to state that I took a day off of work for this.
So he gets annoyed that PG sent him out for this, does a few "tests" on the meter and ERT and says everything is fine and he will contact PG to have this changed in my account. He also gives me a bright lime green paper placquard for my door which is supposed to signify to the PG "meter reading" van that I have an outdoor meter. So I put that on my door and 3 months goes by. Well a paper card doesn't hold up to chicago weather so at month 4 the thing was falling apart.
So I threw it away, stupidly thinking that the tech did what he said he would. Mistake number 1. So here we go again, I'm getting threatened with disconnection and I called the CS number and they told me that they STILL show the meter inside. I asked them if they wanted me to send them a photo right now - I would be happy to take a picture right NOW.
Now they tell me I need not one but TWO appointments to "fix" the problem. So now, two days of missed work at different times. They have no problem still charging me for gas though as I'm still paying my bills which are not cheap. It's not just annoying anymore, and I'm going to file a complaint with the Illinois Commerce commission on 5/1.
The constant threat of disconnecting my service for their mistake is not cool. I'm now going to need to videotape the visits with my phone to prove my point as I feel they won't resolve the issue and I may have to take this further to stop the harassment. I pay my gas bill on time everytime.
Their customer service agents treat me like I have no idea what is going on in my own home. BIG MISTAKE

Now the rude manger said I never been on budget program $65.an cent I heal helped.. Call Constellation service could get on their program because I was on a budget will PEOPLE GAS
