Requested to speak to supervisor about past due account was told supervisors do not take personal calls. They only make them after a complaint has been filed& customer service agent said they were not able to help me with my bill and do not make practices of assisting people with past due account once in collection.

This nightmare has been going on for 3 years. PG moved all the meters of the houses in my neighborhood outside and added an ERT "cone" (so they could get meter readings electronically).

Since that time, I have received notices about every 3 months that I need a required safety inspection of the meter INSIDE my property (again I haven't had a meter INSIDE my house for 3 years). When I call them to advise they tell me they still show a meter inside. Fine, so i schedule a "safety inspection". The guy shows up (he's nice), and I tell him there is no meter that it's out front of my house.

He still says he has to check my basement. Ok, well he checks and agrees with me there is no meter inside. Lo and behold he finds the meter and the ERT cone outside underneath an accessible front porch. I also want to state that I took a day off of work for this.

So he gets annoyed that PG sent him out for this, does a few "tests" on the meter and ERT and says everything is fine and he will contact PG to have this changed in my account. He also gives me a bright lime green paper placquard for my door which is supposed to signify to the PG "meter reading" van that I have an outdoor meter. So I put that on my door and 3 months goes by. Well a paper card doesn't hold up to chicago weather so at month 4 the thing was falling apart.

So I threw it away, stupidly thinking that the tech did what he said he would. Mistake number 1. So here we go again, I'm getting threatened with disconnection and I called the CS number and they told me that they STILL show the meter inside. I asked them if they wanted me to send them a photo right now - I would be happy to take a picture right NOW.

Now they tell me I need not one but TWO appointments to "fix" the problem. So now, two days of missed work at different times. They have no problem still charging me for gas though as I'm still paying my bills which are not cheap. It's not just annoying anymore, and I'm going to file a complaint with the Illinois Commerce commission on 5/1.

The constant threat of disconnecting my service for their mistake is not cool. I'm now going to need to videotape the visits with my phone to prove my point as I feel they won't resolve the issue and I may have to take this further to stop the harassment. I pay my gas bill on time everytime.

Their customer service agents treat me like I have no idea what is going on in my own home. BIG MISTAKE

You people replaced a gas service to my house @ 4849 No. Meade Ave. It was approximately at the end of April 2022. The parkway where the service was repaired ; (your equipment) The landscaping was never restored. This is the third request to have the property repaired. I need my June bill mailed to me asap I was told from someone at people's gas that I haven't been getting my bills because you all didn't have my mailing address but I know for a fact that you do please send bills as soon as possible

Every account has the address where service exists. You can pay your bill over the phone to the same person you claim told you that.

Shutting off gas of a single mother with 2 kids!!!

My step daughter is a single mom of 2 kids. She did fall behind on her payment plan. Asked for help and was denied 2 times!! This is *** Where is the compassion!!!

Did she fill out the forms for assistance? You can’t just have regular service and expect them to allow catch up payments. If you provide verification of income, they will help.

What about you? Why aren't you helping? I'll be her cell phone is on. I'll bet she's posting about "holding it down." I'll bet he has a bull nose ring and a pit bull puppy.

Charging me for their technical error .

My gas company said for an ENTIRE YEAR their reader was not reading correctly for my apartment and that I have to pay for this an ENTIRE YEAR LATER . It is the holidays . How do they expect people to pay for their mistakes that they catch AN ENTIRE YEAR LATER. The supervisor I spoke with had no respect for this inconvenience I am experiencing . She offered no sympathy, she was rude , and stated I have to be charged for the gas I used (which I may mention is documented through some sort of technology in which was having a malfunction for an entire year ).

The absolute worst customer service. Turned service despite bills paid on time and current service.Provided zero notification of new meter and locked the gas accidentally refused refund of bills because it is an active account. No gas usage , still billed and paid because they switched the meter without notification. Zero help when notified.

Can't make a payment

Was on a repayment program unfortunately missed a couple payments. Received a shut off notice. Tried to pay the amount owed to stop shut off. They have been having issues For a couple of weeks and they cannot take payments. My gas got shut off in the meantime and they still are not able to take payments. Been without has so since July 29th. Anyone have si. experiencing

Try to explain to them, I been on a budget program since I moved here October of year 2019..Now they tell me I never been on the budget with people gas ? Why would I sign up for budget with Com-Ed and not People Gas .May the 12 of 2021 was the first time I forgot to pay my bill on time on TIME? In December 11,2020 my gas charge was 14.7 Therms at $0.25367 at $3.73.. Now hear its May 10,2021 charge me 32.6 Therms at $0.35725 and $11.65 . Poor service

Peoples gas sent us a final notice to service our gas meter, without sending out any pervious notices. We arranged to have them come out to have the meter replaced on 22 April, but on the 20th we received word that my wife's brother had died and we needed to make arrangements to plan the funeral in Arizona. When we notified Peoples Gas on the 20th that we needed to reschedule the appointment by one week, we were told if we tried to reschedule our gas serve would be cut off. We now are faced with the situation that we will potentially miss our flights to Arizona if we hold the original appointment. What a poor excuse for service.
